Terms of Service

1. The service

Meridian is a free daily geography game. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may occasionally need to suspend the service for maintenance. We provide Meridian on an “as is” and “as available” basis and don’t guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

2. Accounts

You can play without an account. If you create one, you’re responsible for the activity that happens through it and for keeping access to your email secure, since sign-in uses email links. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You can delete your account at any time from the You page.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the service or its infrastructure;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or other users’ accounts or data;
• scrape, copy, or redistribute the service’s content on a large scale or for commercial purposes without permission; or
• use the service in any unlawful way.

4. Intellectual property

The Meridian name, design, code, and original content are ours or our licensors’. Geographic data and some imagery come from third-party sources under their own licenses, with attribution shown where required. You’re welcome to share your results and links to the game.

5. Privacy

Your use of Meridian is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we handle your data and the choices you have.

6. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meridian is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

7. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Meridian at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaches these terms or uses the service in a way that harms it or other users.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
