About Andorra
Andorra is a tiny principality tucked high in the Pyrenees between France and Spain. Its capital, Andorra la Vella, is the highest capital city in Europe, and skiing, duty-free shopping, and mountain scenery drive its economy. Governed for centuries under a unique arrangement of two co-princes, this microstate has preserved its Catalan language and traditions since the Middle Ages.
- Andorra has two heads of state at once: its co-princes are the President of France and the Bishop of Urgell in Spain.
- Andorra is the only country in the world with Catalan as its sole official language.
- Andorra has no airport of its own; visitors arrive by road through mountain passes from France or Spain.
